Matt is an Associate at The Column Group. He joined the firm in 2024 after completing his PhD in Chemical Biology with Jason Gestwicki at UCSF. Matt first gained exposure to company creation while working with the founding team of HYKU Biosciences to build their chemoproteomics platform. Prior to graduate school, Matt worked in antibody development at Genentech and performed research on the chemical biology of sodium channels with Justin du Bois at Stanford.
