Ahmed is a biochemist with nearly a decade of experience advancing drug discovery programs from hit identification through IND submission. He has held senior scientific roles in biotech, including Associate Director of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Dunad Therapeutics and Principal Scientist at Ribon Therapeutics. Across these roles, he coordinated cross-disciplinary collaborations, managed CRO partnerships, and conducted mechanistic studies that accelerated small-molecule discovery, including irreversible covalent inhibitors. Ahmed earned his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Michigan and has authored numerous publications in cancer and drug discovery research.
